Rivi\u00e8re-du-Loup, QC, Canada (August 2, 2018): duBreton of Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec, CANADA will install QuickFreezes QF+ In-Rack Freezing System this week. As an exporter of pork to China, duBreton was challenged to meet Chinese export guidelines, requiring all pork products to be frozen at 5\u00b0F within a 48 hour time frame from the start of the freezing process. Their current blast freezing methods achieved freeze times in 72 hours.<\/p>\n
This past winter, QuickFreeze conducted a QF+ demo test at the duBreton facility. The test used data loggers that measured time and temperature with results of 5\u00b0F in 35.83 hours and -4\u00b0F in 48 hours. As a result of these findings, duBreton ordered 216 pallet positions of QF+. duBreton will implement the QF+ system upon completion of the accelerated installation.<\/p>\n
QuickFreeze\u2019s QF+ In-Rack Freezing System replaces traditional blast freezing methods. Its innovative design pulls air through the product delivering predictable and consistent freezing instead of blasting air around the pallet, a method that produces ineffective results.
